NEA BIG READ – Read-Imagine-Create 2017-2018
Middle and High School Students will read “Pretty Monsters” (or any story in the collection), RE-IMAGINE the images and themes and CREATE a project in a medium important to them.
Books available upon request.
READ-IMAGINE-CREATE Three Categories:
1. Literary Art – Stories, poetry, monologues, dialogues, biography, plays, etc.
2. Visual Art – Illustrations, graphic novels, fashion/costume designs, set designs, sculpture, mixed media, photography, skateboard design etc.
3. Performance/Media Art – Recitation, dance, flm, music composition, opera, animation, etc.
Open to Middle and High School students Entries must be inspired by one or more stories from PRETTY MONSTERS
Submission Deadline February 16, 2018
Student Creations & Prizes presented at April event.
